It uses two abrasive wheels are applied to the test specimen with a specified load, the abrasive wear obtained after rotation of the test specimen through a specified number of revolutions is assessed by an appropriate procedure (e.g., mass loss, volume loss, change in optical propenly applicable for the wear-resistant test of (transparent) plastic, rubber, textile fabrics, rubber or plastic-coated fabrics, organic coating.
